Services at All Saints

Vespers Saturday at 6:30 p.m.

Vespers is the preparation for the Divine Liturgy on Sunday. In the Orthodox Church the liturgical day starts at sunset; Vespers is sung on Saturday evening to help prepare the faithful for the morning liturgy. We hope to offer the traditional Saturday Vigil (in the Russian tradition consisting of Vespers, Matins, and First Hour) in the future.

Third & Sixth Hours Sunday at 9:30 a.m.

We pray the Third and Sixth Hours on Sunday morning to quiet our minds and prepare our hearts for the Divine Liturgy. The Hours consist of the Trisagion prayers, three chapters from the Psalter appointed for each Hour, several short hymn texts, Trisagion prayers again, and a final prayer appointed for the Hour.

Divine Liturgy Sunday at 10:00 a.m.

The Divine Liturgy is the Orthodox Church's primary Eucharistic service. It has a rich history and tradition going back all the way to the founding of the Church by Christ and the Apostles. It is not a spectator event, but rather a participatory service where the faithful are actively engaged through prayer, singing, and receiving Holy Communion. Nearly three quarters of the service are chanted or sung.
