Victory Song

Lo! Here comes the Lord with His heav’nly hosts! * May you be ashamed, all you evil foes!
 

Woe, you evil foes, may you now repent! * How the hosts do shine as the heav’ns are rent!

O how bright they shine! O how loud the sound! * All the mountains crumble and are falling down! 

Ye tall mountains, ye prideful earthly kings: * Lo! The Lord is coming and His throne ascends!

Seraphim are charging, then the Cherubim; * All the world is burning; Earth from smoke is dim.

Smoke is all around us, it is hard to breathe; * Of such joy and terror no one can conceive!

(MEN) Miracle of miracles, who can describe

when the sinful Earth no longer can abide?

Earth is seized as Heaven’s nearness does erupt;

Now the fruits of Earth are putrid and corrupt!

Armies upon armies now from heav’n descend; * Angels sound their trumpets, and the just attend. 

All the just cry out: “Behold! Here comes the Lord!” * All these lands and water now shall be no more!

(MEN) Earth and water, O what use are they to us?

Look, what Scripture foretold now has come to pass!

It has come to pass what Scripture did forewarn:

A new Heav’n and Earth now are being born!

Lo! Here comes the Lord, raising all the dead!
Lo! Here comes the Lord’s Judgment Day of dread!

He will judge the world, He will tend His flock!
At His thund’ring footsteps space and time are rocked!
 

All the Earth and Heaven rumble and roar! * Of what use are gold and silver anymore?

Let all gold and silver now be put aside; * Shine, O Son of  God, our Eternal Light!
